Planning and Listed Building Approval for Five Dwellings

Fleet and client Neilson Projects were pleased to receive planning and listed buildings consent for the creation of 5 new dwellings, including 3 flats and 2 new mews cottages in Ramsgate, Kent.  Retail space is retained and refurbished at street level with a new contemporary loft apartment atop the existing building.

 

The process involved working closely with the local historical society, town council and district council conservation teams.

Morelands Competition Invitation with Community Solutions Islington

Fleet were invited to take part in a competition organised by Health and Social Care Developer Comunity Solutions to propose designs for two prominent sites in South Islington.  Fleet were competing with five other practices including AHMM and Steffian Bradley.  We were awarded the second highest marks overall, winning on one site, losing out to eventual winners AHMM.

Mason and Taylor Craft Ale and Fine Local Produce

Mason and Taylor offically opened in July to very warm reviews of the food and drink offer and space designed by Fleet.

The former site of Red and Green is now London’s premier craft ale bar operated by Hospitality and Music entrepreneur, Ed Mason. This is Mason’s second London venture after the Duke of Wellington on Balls Pond Road.

Mason and Taylor has been shortlisted for the International Bar and Restaurant Design Awards 2011.

The Stage Designed and built by Fleet and Cassion Castle Architecture has been shortlisted  for the 2010  RIBA small projects competition.  The scheme, designed to be used in annually by Metal for the Village Green Festival, was also reported on in International Live Music Magazine.

Planning and Listed Building Consent for New Restaurant in Canterbury

Fleet have worked with the conservation team in Canterbury to agree change of use and significant remodelling to a former gentlemen’s outfitters historic central Canterbury.  The site sits only yards from the cathedral and has evidence of occupation dating to Roman times.
