Area: 300sqm (mixed level refurb)

Value: £500,000

Procurement: Traditional

Fleet undertook the refurbishment of an existing ward in order to convert the use from a elderly unit to one suitable for a smaller cohort or adults with learning difficulties. In parallel the works also included the creation of a S136 unit and two new seclusion suites.

Since completion the unit has been inspected by the CQC with the seclusion facilities approved, whilst 4 other units within the NHNFT estate have failed to pass. This has led to follow-on projects reviewing and reorganising seclusion facilites across the Trust’s estate.
