Amy Hiley

Amy Hiley

Architect & Associate

Amy joined Fleet in March 2024, after working in the social housing sector for more than 10 years. During this time, she specialised in designing and managing complex medium and large-scale mixed-use and community-led projects on sensitive and constrained sites, with a particular focus on low-energy and passivhaus design standards. Amy is adept at bringing together design proposals for estate renewal, housing schemes and masterplans covering all project stages, from conception to completion, for both public and private sector clients, where she values the delivery of quality design with a social purpose through a collaborative design approach.

Her experience also extends across leading smaller-scale residential and garden design schemes, and Amy’s passion for horticulture has led her to broaden her knowledge and obtain additional qualifications, furthering her interest in the dynamic relationship between landscape and architectural design.

Ruairi McCance

Senior Architect

Ruairi McCance is a qualified architect & joined Fleet in Jan 2024. He previously spent 5 years working in the high end private residential sector designing modern extensions to Victorian terraced houses in London with a strong emphasis on materiality, texture and light and shadow. Due to the often tight spatial constraints Ruairi is well versed in fine detailing and enjoys finding technical solutions for complex problems. Before this he worked on modern extensions to grade 2 listed theatres.

Due to the relatively quick build times of private housing Ruairi has worked on many projects with an abundance of on site experience often from concept to completion. He loves drawing (by hand and computer) and always has a sketchbook and colouring pencils on his desk.

He is an avid reader . He is also a keen sportsman and has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a blue belt in Judo. He likes to combine these hobbies by collecting bizarre and obscure books on martial arts and niche exercise books.
